Double or Triple hit lymphoma : implications for clinicians

Published 11 Jul 2022
Double or triple-hit B-cell lymphomas (DHL and THL) are rare lymphomas associated with poor prognosis. Defining features of DHL & THL are two or three recurrent chromosome translocations namely MYC and bcl-2 gene or/and BCL6 chromosomal translocation. Determination of cell of origin by IHC is practised before proceeding with FISH test. DHL & THL have aggressive presentation and high-risk CNS involvement and hence CNS prophylaxis can be considered for these patients.
